Oh, the places Koroberi goes
In the last 20 years - Koroberi’s journey has taken our team all around the Triangle. From starting in a small barn-style office in Chapel Hill to our current industrial location in Raleigh, we’ve been there and done that. However, some things never change including our tenacity, creative spirit and commitment to our roots.
North Carolina barn and raised
Owners Kathryn and Bruce Olive started Koroberi in a small rural office in 1999 on a sprawling 16-acre farm located outside of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Founded as a smart and nimble B2B marketing agency to serve technology and industrial clients, Koroberi’s operations quickly began to reach across the globe. Cultivated with a home-grown feel, we’ve worked with clients as close as the Research Triangle Park and as far away as Beijing, Johannesburg and London.
It wasn’t long before the rapidly expanding team needed a new HQ. Given the high-tech incubator culture of nearby Carrboro, the K-Team transitioned into a small millhouse located in the heart of the funky downtown area. The space matched our team’s creative spirit, and soon, we also rented a second neighboring millhouse . This addition created a Koroberi campus, and the excitement continued to propel the company forward. But as we continued to progress, we yet again outgrew our space.
Moving up Tobacco Road
Koroberi found a new home in Chapel Hill on the college town’s famous Franklin Street. Located on the spacious third floor of a 10,000-square-foot space, the office featured great views and loads of room to spread out. For 10 years, Koroberi continued its expansion, cultivating business relationships, adding new creative teams and even forming a spin-off web development company called Ashe Avenue. However, as the recruitment net widened to include nearby Durham, Raleigh and the Triad, it was essential our HQ offer a more creative workspace with easier access to major interstates, the RDU airport and public transportation. By 2015 it was time for Koroberi to relocate once more.
This time around our move brought us to a trendy, walkable location in Downtown Durham, a city known for their college basketball prowess and an entrepreneurial, hipster vibe. Our central spot on Bull City’s Main Street made for great local eats, shops and breweries.
By 2018, the K-Team packed up and moved to its current home in downtown Raleigh. Our bright, airy and contemporary space offers the best of all worlds. Easy access for clients, shorter commutes for the team, a fun and vibrant downtown community to surround us, and, most importantly, our growing pack of dogs get to come in and work too.
To 2020 and beyond
As the end of our 20th year draws near, we’re excited for our future. Both our team and client base continue to grow, and our agency has been heralded many times for our expertise and overall marketing excellence. The future is bright!
